Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in Houston, Texas.

Job Summary

This full-time position requires a Certified Surgical Technologist with 1+ year of hospital experience and ortho experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing proficient perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation. The position will function as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and efficient care to patients, staff, and visitors
  • Verify functioning and adequate availability of supplies, instruments, and equipment prior to surgical procedures
  • Apply the principles of asepsis to provide optimal patient care in the OR
  • Support the readiness and flow of cases to facilitate overall functioning of the unit
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
  • Certified in Basic Life Support and current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • 1+ year of hospital experience and ortho experience
