Elementary SLPA Position Available in Barling

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on supporting elementary students with communication challenges, particularly those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The SLPA will work in collaboration with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and educational staff to ensure effective delivery of therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:- Support SLPs in executing tailored therapy plans and activities designed for students with ASD.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, and social skills.
- Track and document student progress, providing insights to the supervising SLP and modifying activities as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with educators and families to incorporate speech and language objectives into both classroom and home settings.
- Assist in the integration of communication strategies and tools within the classroom environment.
- Maintain comprehensive records of therapy sessions and student development.
- Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related discipline.
- State Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Arkansas.
- Experience with children, particularly those with ASD or similar developmental challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A collaborative mindset to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
