Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Assist Project Managers in the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects.
  • Operations Management: Implement policies, procedures, and organizational structures for current projects, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and industry standards.
  • Performance Improvement: Analyze and improve company performance by reviewing and modifying reports related to international operations, including management, business plans, budgets, and other relevant data.
  • Human Resources: Assist in the hiring and reallocation of site personnel, including Project Managers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Skilled Labor, in cooperation with our HR department.
  • Profit Objectives: Monitor Project Management's achievement of target profit objectives, ensuring they meet or exceed their goals as required by contract.
  • Training and Development: Mentor and coach personnel in their professional development and work execution through various training methods.
  • Resource Management: Monitor and ensure that project sites have the necessary resources, including materials, personnel, and equipment, to meet project execution schedules and plans.
  • Problem-Solving: Coordinate and confer with corporate staff to resolve operational problems and difficulties.
  • Client Relationships: Foster and maintain good working relationships with clients, including the Department of State, Overseas Building Operations (OBO), and other government agencies, while ensuring subordinates do the same.
  • Compliance: Develop and monitor the compliance program of the company, considering all relevant laws and regulations, including health, safety, environmental stewardship, procurement, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Requirements:
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States and have an active U.S. Secret level security clearance.
  • Education and Experience: Four (4) year engineering or technical degree (or equivalent advanced degree) plus extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in the management of construction segments.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Advanced knowledge of the construction industry and company operations, excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and analytical skills, and working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
Preferred Experience:
  • International Experience: International construction industry experience interacting with various diverse cultures.
  • Project Management Experience: Experience as a project manager on several different projects large in scale ($100M+), cost, and complexity.
  • Design/Build Experience: Design/build construction experience.
  • Government Contracts: Experience working on contracts for U.S. Government clients (e.g. OBO, USACE).
Physical Job Demands:

Reaching above and below, stooping, and bending. Lifting/carrying/moving 1 to 15 pounds of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and perform specialized skills.

Working Conditions:

Work out of the corporate and/or international operations office, with frequent travel to project sites.
