Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer 3 to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and administrative support to project teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot engineering-related installation problems and provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Plan and maintain project budgets and schedules.
  • Plan and maintain manpower forecasts in relation to budget and schedule.
  • Establish labor and productivity rates.
  • Identify value-added solutions and cost-saving methods.
  • Pricing, tracking, and managing change orders.
  • Maintain as-builts as work is completed.
  • Document project issues and conditions.
  • Maintain organized and detailed project records.
  • Submit hours and cost codes.
  • Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
  • Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
  • Prepare invoices.
  • Submit O&M manuals.
  • Complete a comprehensive estimate.
  • Run a KPR (Key Project Review).
  • Develop a Safety Plan.
  • Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
  • Manage design development logs and criteria compliance matrix.
  • Manage coordination and detailing logs and schedule.
  • Manage schedule updates.
  • Manage productivity reports.
  • Identify value-added solutions and cost savings methods.
  • Participate in Project Kick Off Meeting (PKOM) process.
  • Assist in Field Inspections and productivity tracking.
  • Gain knowledge and assist with the Materials Requisition System.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (preferably from an ABET accredited program).
  • 3-5 years of experience with a MS/MS.
  • Professional Engineer License, preferred.
  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms.
  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Identify and understand the speech of another person.
