We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing consultation and training to classroom staff, educators, and families, as well as conducting functional behavioral assessments and developing positive behavior support plans for students with a variety of needs.
Key Responsibilities- Consultation and Training: Provide consultation and training to classroom staff, educators, and families on applied behavior analysis and positive behavior supports.
- Functional Behavioral Assessments: Conduct functional behavioral assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors in students.
- Positive Behavior Support Plans: Develop and implement positive behavior support plans to help students achieve their goals and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Supervision: Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians and those in training to ensure they are providing high-quality services to students.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and services provided.
- Education: Master's degree from a behaviorally-based, accredited college/university in education, psychology, or a related field.
- Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or credentialed, or enrollment in a graduate program leading to a BCBA.
- Experience: Experience in the direct delivery of behavior analytic services to students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
- Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of applied behavior analysis, prior experience conducting functional behavior assessments and developing positive behavior support plans, and a valid driver's license.
