Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician PRN to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality ultrasound images of patients and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain quality ultrasound images of patients and maintain accurate records
  • Follow established scanning protocols and adjust as required to ensure optimal image quality
  • Manage ultrasound equipment and recognize significant diagnostic information
  • Utilize independent judgment and decision-making in complex situations involving the administration of diagnostic ultrasound
  • Perform all necessary computer operations, including preparing examination rooms and monitoring inventory of supplies
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy and assist with PACS clean up
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee and patient information

Requirements

  • Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
