Ultrasound Technologist Job in Kohler, WI

 

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist - Vascular Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

 

About the Role:

  • Competently operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures/studies, accurately differentiating between normal and pathologic findings.
  • Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information, including patient history, lab results, and physician orders, and compare requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy.
  • Position patients and select proper transducers and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures, adjusting factors to attain the appropriate images while ensuring patient safety, mental, and physical comfort.
  • Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information, and images.
  • Accurately identify and label images, including patient name, medical record unit (MRU) number, and location or position of scan on all images, maintaining records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and entering patient and study information into the radiology information system.

 

Requirements:

  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE) registration with Adult Echo issued by the ARDMS needs to be obtained within 18 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
