Clinical Psychologist

As a Clinical Psychologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to adult and child members. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and direct each individual member's treatment program, ensuring comprehensive and effective care.
Essential Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental illness.
- Participate in staff conferences to select, plan, and evaluate treatment programs.
- Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Instruct and counsel patients and their families regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and adherence to prescribed medication regimens.
- Administer specialized therapeutic procedures as appropriate.
- Provide appropriate support to members' families and may develop and conduct psychoeducational classes and groups.
- Conduct psychological assessments, including test administration, interpretation, and recommendations.
- Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries and maintain ongoing confidential records.
- Chart members' treatment and progress in accord with state and NCQA regulations and in keeping with accepted community standards.
- Treatment Tracks Program
- PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Psychologist License (California) within 6 months of hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Familiarity with DSM-V as a means of diagnosis.
- Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
- Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods.
- Knowledge of the bio-psycho-social functions that contribute to mental health.
- Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans.
- Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
- Professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
- Commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner.
- Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual, and group psychotherapy.
- Demonstrated experience in psychological evaluations of adults, children, adolescents, and families, including administering and writing up psychological testing and assessment batteries.
- Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner.
