HVAC Chiller Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Chiller Mechanic to join our team at Johnson Controls International plc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing contract maintenance visits, inspections, site assessments, and service requests for our customers' equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, and site assessments to ensure optimal performance of our customers' equipment.
  • Provide quote estimates for labor and material repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Represent the company as a direct customer contact and be responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Continually enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets.
  • Work as part of a team dedicated to delivering the highest standard of service to all customers, which may require flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires.

Qualifications:

  • UA Mechanical Journeyman status.
  • More than 5 years of commercial, industrial, and/or institutional experience with all types of chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with hand-held computers.
  • Adherence to company safety program.
  • Valid driver's license, TDLR HVAC Technician License, and EPA Universal Certificate.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be on call nights and weekends on a rotating basis.
