Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Manager Trainee to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for learning and implementing our housekeeping and laundry services, as well as providing leadership and support to our staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Learn and perform the job assignments of the housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker positions
- Assist in training, quality control, and in-servicing of staff according to policies and procedures and federal/state requirements
- Learn to provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure that quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met
- Train in maintaining records of income and expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment in report format
- Learn to effectively handle managerial responsibilities, including payroll submission, staffing patterns, effective coaching and discipline, purchasing, maintaining inventory, and budgeting
- Communicate all directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff
- Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and ensure the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions
- Ensure the established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met and follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures
- Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner and positively represent HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude, the ability to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily. You will also need to have basic computer skills and the ability to maintain records and complete reports as required.
