Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach in our Foundations Studies program at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design. The successful candidate will have a strong background in studio art and experience teaching first-year college students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach studio art courses, including Seminar: Methods of Inquiry, Observational Drawing, Life Drawing, and Topics in Color.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and success.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum.
  • Hold regular office hours and be available to students for guidance and support.
Qualifications
  • Master of Fine Arts (MFA) or Master of Arts (MA) degree in Art and Design, or a related field.
  • At least 18 graduate credit hours in the posted field or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in drawing, Illustrator, Photoshop, color theory, and design thinking.
  • Strong written, oral, and online communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning community.
