Teaching Ceramics at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach ceramics on campus in the Fine Arts department. As a member of our dynamic community of educators, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and passion for ceramics with our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach students the ceramic processes of fabricating, surfacing, and firing clay objects.
  • Lead students in learning both wheel throwing and hand-building methods.
  • Guide students in safely mixing glazes and applying surfacing materials.
  • Teach students how to load and fire electric and gas ceramic kilns.
  • Develop and teach a course on making plaster molds specifically for ceramic use.
Qualifications:
  • MFA and professional experience in Ceramics.
  • Must reside in the greater Denver area or be willing to relocate.
  • Must be proficient in ceramics materials and processes.
  • Minimum of two years teaching experience.
  • College-level teaching experience preferred.
