Loan Documentation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Documentation Specialist to join our team at Peoples Security Bank & Trust Company.
Job OverviewThis role plays a crucial part in the loan processing function, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements. As a key member of our team, you will assist the Loan Processing Manager in implementing strategies to achieve departmental goals, communicating effectively with management and staff, and providing periodic reports.
Responsibilities- Assist in guiding loan processing staff with preparation of disclosures and closing documentation for commercial, SBA, consumer, and mortgage transactions.
- Review documentation for all areas and make necessary corrections.
- Evaluate staff knowledge on proper documentation required for each lending area and ensure documents fulfill legal and regulatory requirements.
- C coordinate closing scheduling for requests from all lending areas and help implement written procedures to manage this process.
- Maintain familiarity with loan documentation systems and suggest adjustments to accommodate consumer, commercial, SBA, and mortgage transactions in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical plans, dental plan, vision plan, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k) plan, ESOP plan, paid time off, paid holidays, employee assistance program, banking classes, and internal advancement opportunities.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; specialized training and education with respect to documentation and processing for various loan types.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills; proficient interpersonal relations skills; proficient analytical skills; demonstrated organizational skills; proficient PC skills including knowledge of loan related software.
- A minimum of four (4) years' related experience normally required.
