About the Job

Elite Staffing Network is seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to support the 673d Medical Group at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, AK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and assist in treatment and rehabilitation of patients, including initial assessments and standardized psychological testing.
  • Identify mental health and nursing diagnoses and provide patient education.
  • Observe, monitor, record, and report patient progress.
  • Conduct group and individual counseling, therapeutic community activities, and other related milieu activities.
  • Institute precautionary measures to prevent patient injury or suicide.
  • Assist patients with nutritional, hygiene, and comfort measures.
  • Obtain and record vital signs.
  • Coordinate with other agencies regarding care, treatment, prevention, rehabilitation, and administrative functions.
Requirements
  • Education: Certificate in Psychiatric Technician Program or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience: One year of experience as a Psychiatric Technician after graduation.
  • Life Support Certification: Possess and maintain a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Security: Ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
