We are seeking an experienced automotive detailer to join our team at Santa Barbara Auto Group. As an automotive detailer, you will be responsible for ensuring our clients receive a best-in-class customer experience while taking delivery of their new and pre-owned vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, and torn upholstery
  • Restore vehicles using appropriate materials
  • Wash, wax, and buff vehicles, clean interior and exterior windows
  • Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials
  • Vacuum and scrub interior of vehicles using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices
  • Clean engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment
  • Apply dressing on tires and tire wells
  • Utilize and apply paint protection sealant to ensure lasting cleanliness of vehicles
  • Operate all tools in a safe manner by using proper eye, hand, and body protection
  • Report any safety issues immediately to management
  • Maintain showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable conditions at all times
Requirements:
  • 2 years detailing experience required in one or more of the following: washing, waxing, cleaning, and buffing, masking, sanding, grinding, and applying paint on vehicles
  • Removing and replacing small parts, carrying out minor repairs
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina, lift heavy objects, and walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Customer focus and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation
  • Clean driving record is a must
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism with motivation towards improvement on job performance
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
