Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and implement care plans for patients under the direct supervision of a healthcare provider.
- Work with the healthcare team to ensure accurate documentation and timely patient flow.
- Collect and assist with the collection of specimens, as required, using appropriate protocols.
- Adhere to infection control standards and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Assist with special procedures and examinations, following appropriate protocols.
- Complete and monitor required logs for equipment and medication.
- Coordinate patient needs by communicating with various service providers throughout the clinic.
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient messages in a timely manner.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to achieve certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, etc.) or maintain active LPN license.
- Active medication aid and American Heart Associate BLS/CPR certification required.
- One (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant or LPN, utilizing electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred.
- This role operates in a healthcare setting, requiring frequent standing, walking, and computer work.
- Must be able to stand 75% or longer of the workday, walk 15% or longer of the workday, and sit 10% of the workday.
- Requires ability to lift and maneuver up to 35 pounds occasionally.
- Requires employee to bend, squat, kneel, and reach above shoulder level occasionally and twist occasionally.
- Requires repetitive use of hands for simple grasping, fine manipulation, and computer use.
