Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Technician I to join our team at Madera County Superintendent of Schools. As an Accounting Technician I, you will play a critical role in supporting our accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

• Perform a variety of complex clerical accounting duties, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, under the direction of an assigned supervisor.
• Receive, audit, and assure the accuracy of various incoming financial data and documents.
• Prepare and maintain a variety of financial and statistical records and reports.
• Verify and process financial transactions, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

• Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years clerical accounting experience.
• Valid California driver's license required.
• Must be cleared by the Department of Justice prior to employment.
