Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at Patterns LLC. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians with FNA procedures and collecting specimens from patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in Cytology Aspiration procedures scheduled from various departments, including Ambulatory Surgery, Breast Imaging, Endoscopy, Off-Site Radiology, and Radiology.
- Screen gynecological and non-gynecological cases on a daily basis and in a timely manner.
- Sign out cases with the Pathologist according to schedule.
- Assist with preparation, staining, and coverslipping of cytology specimens as needed.
- Label all Cytology stained slides and compare them against the Cytology requisitions.
- Change and clean equipment and solutions in the Cytology Aspiration procedure tray, and keep Cytology Aspiration procedure supplies in the tray stocked as needed.
Requirements
- Understand and adhere to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies, and Behaviors.
- Supervise Cytotechnologists, assign workload, develop schedule, and prepare and maintain departmental records.
