Position Overview:
This full-time role involves 36 hours of rotating shifts, offering a sign-on bonus for eligible external candidates. As a Pulmonary Care Specialist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and caring for patients requiring respiratory therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of treatment, developing a tailored care plan based on their diagnosis.
2. Administer prescribed respiratory therapeutic services in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
3. Monitor and document patient conditions, implementing and adjusting care plans as necessary.
4. Perform advanced respiratory care techniques and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments.
5. Educate patients and their families about health conditions and available community support resources.
6. Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensuring compliance with cleaning and sterilization standards.
7. Respond promptly to medical emergencies and participate in rapid response situations.

Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience.

Experience:
No prior experience is required.

Physical Requirements:
Constant communication, standing, and walking are essential. Frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs, as well as occasional lifting of patients, is expected.

Licensure and Certifications:
Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) as recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Additional state-specific licensure may be required.
