About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Client Relationship Consultant to join our team at Principal Financial Group. As a Client Relationship Consultant, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, driving business growth, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic relationship plans to drive business growth and revenue expansion
  • Provide expert renewal analysis and recommendations to clients
  • Deliver outstanding service and selling of new lines of business
  • Partner closely with our Sales team and Broker partners to achieve business objectives
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to provide expert advice and guidance to clients
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 4+ years related experience (group benefits and/or account management experience preferred)
  • Life and Health Insurance Licenses required for all states in which business will be conducted or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment required
  • Excellent persuasion, interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, presentation, listening, and oral/written communication skills
  • Advanced math skills required with basic skills related to graphs, symbols, equations, etc.
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of business unit applications preferred
