Job DescriptionMedical Assistant - Copperleaf Clinic Primary Care

Job Summary: As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health's Copperleaf Clinic Primary Care in Aurora, Colorado, you will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary care team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality patient care, ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks, including preparing patients for healthcare providers, maintaining accurate records, and communicating test results.
  • Patient Care: Assist with taking vital signs, recording patient information, administering medications (oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant), and providing basic patient care.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follow up on test results as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments, maintain equipment, and stock exam rooms while ensuring cleanliness and organization.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or be certified as a Medical Assistant.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Current BLS Certification upon hire or within 60 days of hire.
  • Experience: Three months previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
