Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Analytical Testing: Conduct all required analytical testing in accordance with current USP/NF and internal testing requirements.
  • Develop Quality Control Programs: Develop and conduct quality control programs for raw materials, chemical intermediates, and final products.
  • Support QC and Production Departments: Provide support to QC and production departments by testing raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
  • Collaborate with Research and Development: Work with chemical engineers and analytical chemists on multidisciplinary research and development projects.
  • Maintain Laboratory Equipment: Ensure calibration of equipment is maintained and complete all lab testing reporting according to cGLPs.
  • File and Maintain Reports: File and maintain completed lab reports.

Requirements:

  • Education: A minimum of BS in Chemistry or related science required.
  • Experience: Academic or industry experience performing analytical and wet chemistry testing (academic coursework alone will not be considered experience).
  • Skills: Practical knowledge of analytical equipment (FTIR, UV_VIS, Automatic Titrator, Polarimeter, TLC, wet chemistry tests, pH, Atomic Absorption, HPLC).
  • Personal Characteristics: Ability to think analytically and solve problems, conceptualize and complete tasks, aptitude for physics, mathematics, and chemistry, good oral and written communication skills, willingness to improve knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis, ability to work effectively with groups of people from various disciplines and educational and cultural backgrounds.

Working Conditions:

The Quality Control Specialist will work in a laboratory environment.
