Radiologic Technologist Job Description

Concentra is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients by performing routine x-ray examinations and supporting medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, including escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms and providing verbal and written instructions.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, ensuring patient care, safety, and comfort during the x-ray exam.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and team members.
  • Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, reporting equipment malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.
  • Follow radiology workflows and ensure accurate documentation of patient x-ray visits.
  • Maintain x-ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and applicable certification by the state in which employed.
  • Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and has active and valid certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least six months or more of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) is preferred with prior medical office, healthcare, and/or customer service-related experience.
