Role Overview

As the Internal Controls Manager, you will play a crucial role in establishing a robust internal control framework by developing policies and procedures, ensuring their execution, and overseeing compliance. This position is pivotal in enhancing the financial reporting and control landscape of our global organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, document, evaluate, and oversee the internal control framework, including group policies and key risks to ensure the organization maintains sufficient controls to prevent both unintentional and intentional inaccuracies in financial reporting, processes, and operations.
  • Develop policies and procedures aimed at enhancing internal controls, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead internal control reviews across the organization, providing timely and comprehensive reporting on the internal control framework and any identified deficiencies to ensure effective communication and escalation to relevant stakeholders.
  • Formulate actionable plans and monitor progress to rectify control deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with business and process owners to implement and oversee remediation efforts stemming from internal control evaluations, ensuring effective corrective actions are executed.
  • Pursue standardization and automation, applying best practices for managing internal controls, and leverage innovative technology to continuously enhance the design and operational effectiveness of controls, documentation, assessment, and review processes.
  • Engage actively with internal and external auditors to address all pertinent risks and audit findings.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions and prepare informational materials on internal control objectives, methodologies, and approaches to enhance understanding of risks and controls among business partners.

Collaboration and Empowerment

Continuously seek feedback to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Act as a partner to business units in evaluating and improving the internal control system. Collaborate with the parent company to align systems with public reporting requirements.
