Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team as a School Bus Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for operating school buses under various weather conditions, transporting students and staff, and ensuring the safety of all passengers.

About the Role
  • Operate school buses on scheduled routes and special trips
  • Maintain and update route sheets
  • Communicate with dispatch and management regarding route changes and requirements
  • Service, inspect, and clean school buses and equipment
  • Report any unsafe acts or conditions that may affect student safety
Requirements
  • Minimum age of 21 with at least 5 years' driving experience
  • Successful completion of bus driver training program
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a CDL Class B, passenger endorsement, school bus endorsement, and air brake restriction removed
  • Must pass a basic skills test
  • Must be First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with young people
  • Evidence of ability to manage large groups of students
  • Evidence of excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability
Working Conditions

This position requires regular interaction with students, staff, and the public. The work environment is fast-paced and may involve exposure to inclement weather and road hazards.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is between $20.00 and $21.00 per hour, depending on experience. A competitive benefits package is also offered, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and retirement plan.
