Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve patient-specific meals and snacks, adhering to therapeutic diet orders and patient safety protocols.
- Accurately record patient intakes, including nutrient-specific information, in accordance with established procedures.
- Provide menu information and explanations of ingredients and preparation methods to patients and families.
- Assist with food preparation, operating food production equipment as needed, and maintain a clean and sanitized work environment.
- Refill condiments and supplies, and follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure quality food service.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- ServSafe Certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and after-hours.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, families, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.
This role may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, and various chemicals and medications used in healthcare settings. You will be required to follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
