Qualifications:

  • Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Certifications: Any machinery safety certifications are advantageous.

Essential Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of automation and control systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven experience in leading machinery safety initiatives and conducting safety assessments.
  • Strong grasp of functional safety principles related to machinery, including the selection and configuration of protective devices.
  • Understanding of hazards and risks linked to manufacturing equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge in evaluating safety-related control systems, familiar with relevant machinery safety standards such as ISO and IEC 62061.
  • Capability to perform safety system verification and validation.
  • Basic understanding of hazardous energy control and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Project management skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required.
