Job Summary:

As a CT Technologist at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services. This position requires a strong understanding of computed tomography principles, radiation safety, and patient interaction skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform CT procedures, including imaging exams and interventional procedures, utilizing CT scanners and associated technology.
Determine and follow appropriate imaging protocols, ensuring accurate and safe patient care.
Document pertinent exam information in the medical record, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Maintain archival storage of imaging exams and associated documents, adhering to regulatory standards and institutional policies.

Requirements:

Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology recognized by the ARRT or NMTCB.
Current Certification by ARRT or NMTCB and ARRT-CT.
Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification.
One to three years of previous CT Technologist work experience, with a preference for experience in an academic medical center environment.

Working Conditions:

Prolonged standing, sitting, and walking, with frequent reaching and repetitive motion.
Exposure to potentially hazardous and infectious substances, requiring proper safety protocols and precautions.
Fast-paced environment with frequent and intense customer interactions, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills.
