SUMMARY: The role involves delivering technical assistance for computer systems on campus by troubleshooting, replacing, and implementing hardware and software solutions while addressing inquiries related to support.

Applicants must be current students. Opportunities for summer work may be available.
Note: Three references are required upon application.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Resolve user issues concerning computer hardware and software
  • Investigate computer and software problems and provide solutions
  • Maintain accurate records in the service call database
  • Engage in self-directed learning to improve skills and knowledge
  • Demonstrate punctuality and accountability
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be a registered student at Bob Jones University
  • Preferred: 18 years of age with a valid driver's license
  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capability to train and assist users effectively
  • Proactive in identifying necessary tasks
  • Ability to follow directions and focus on details
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn new technologies
  • Must be able to occasionally lift/carry up to 20 lbs. and/or push/pull up to 25 lbs.
