Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to join our team at Gallery Residential. As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the exterior physical features of our communities, ensuring they meet the highest standards of appearance and curb appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain common areas, office space, and amenities to ensure they are neat and free of litter.
  • Remove trash and debris from vacant apartments and transfer it to the dumpster or storage area as applicable.
  • Complete minor and routine service requests as assigned by the Service Director and/or Community Director.
  • Change locks and ensure gates to pool areas are functioning properly.
  • Distribute notices and communications to residents as necessary.
  • Report any observed hazards or potentially dangerous situations to supervisors.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills, treating residents and others with respect and responding sensitively to complaints.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Employment history demonstrating safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and comply with product labels, safety manuals, and policy procedures.
  • Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Mathematical skills to complete basic maintenance duties.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.

Work Environment:

The Groundskeeper will work both inside and outside of apartment buildings and in all areas of the property, including amenities. The position requires frequent exposure to outside elements, including temperature, weather, odors, and landscape.

Physical Demands:

The Groundskeeper must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities, work inside and outside in all weather conditions, and operate golf carts at properties with golf carts.
