Our client, a reputable university in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a Groundskeeper to join their team. As a Groundskeeper, you will be part of the Facilities Management Department supporting the Grounds team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Groundskeeper

Location: Roanoke, VA

Pay Range: $13/hour

What's the Job?

  • Cleaning and picking up debris throughout the university grounds
  • Maintaining shrubbery and other plants throughout the university grounds
  • Using a leaf blower to blow debris from the sidewalks and weed eat where needed
  • Picking up trash on grounds
  • Using a shovel to plant flowers, shrubbery, and trees as needed
  • Performing general labor work

What's Needed?

  • No minimum experience required
  • Credentials are not required
  • Ability to work from 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
