Northern Light Health is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our busy surgical practice in Bangor, Maine.
The successful candidate will function as a surgical first assist for all surgical sub-specialties and provide weekday inpatient coverage of all non-ICU surgical patients on the surgical unit.
Responsibilities:- First assist all surgical sub-specialties at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.
- Pre and post-operative assessments.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and implement treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and nursing staff.
- Ensure continuity of care through sign-out from overnight PA coverage.
- Daily participation in multidisciplinary rounds (MDR), care coordination, and discharge planning.
- Respond to urgent/emergent clinical issues.
- Collaborate with attending services to provide appropriate, timely care in effort to reduce morbidity, mortality, and length of stay.
- Maine Physician Assistant and DEA Licenses (or immediate eligibility).
- Robust compensation package.
