Director of Veteran Programs and Services

At CommuniCare Health Services Corporate, we are committed to delivering exceptional person-centered care to those who have served our country. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our Veteran Programs and Services initiative.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee specialized veteran's care and services in a post-acute care setting, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate program initiatives.
  • Build program capacity through outreach with programmatic partners, identifying gaps in services and developing enhancements to meet the needs of our veteran population.
  • Coordinate Veteran Recognition Events, including overseeing event coordination and maintaining a master annual schedule of events.
  • Engage in Community Outreach, providing presentations about veteran programs to veteran service organizations, community groups, and other identified groups, facilitating vet-to-vet relationships.
  • Engage in Business Development, assisting in developing marketing materials and communication strategies, establishing and maintaining relationships with VA Hospitals, providers, and affiliate offices, and developing quarterly business development plans and market analysis.
Requirements:
  • Strong familiarity with veteran's resources, benefits, and organizations.
  • Experience working with the military and veteran population, with a minimum of 5 years in clinical social work, nursing, or veteran healthcare related field.
  • Business development experience preferred.
