About the RoleLong Island STEAM Group is in search of enthusiastic and motivated individuals to lead engaging after-school STEAM programs focusing on science and chess topics. These programs will take place during the academic year at various elementary schools across Long Island. While a background in education is beneficial, it is not a prerequisite. This role is part-time, requiring availability for 3 to 5 afternoons each week, with sessions lasting 2 hours.
Key Responsibilities- Availability for at least 3-5 afternoons weekly, between 2 PM and 5 PM.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude towards teaching.
- Experience working with children aged 5-12 is preferred.
- Possess reliable transportation and a willingness to travel within a 15-mile radius.
- Bring an outgoing and engaging personality to the role.
A background in arts, sciences, teaching, chess, or Lego-building is advantageous but not essential. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with all necessary skills.
