Senior Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview:

A prominent MEP engineering firm is in search of a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in consulting engineering. This role focuses on the design and implementation of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems across diverse sectors, including commercial, municipal, industrial, and water/wastewater facilities. As a vital contributor to our team, you will be tasked with the design of various HVAC systems, plumbing layouts, fire alarm systems, and fire protection solutions. Your responsibilities will also encompass construction administration, field investigations, conducting site inspections, developing system narratives, performing load calculations, selecting equipment, and executing other design-related tasks. While experience in the Water/Wastewater or Pharmaceutical sectors is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Expertise in load calculations, preferably using Carrier HAP
  • Strong background in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design
  • Proficient in load calculations
Work Environment:

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring some on-site presence while allowing for remote work flexibility. The position is based in our headquarters, which fosters a collaborative environment with over 40 professionals. We provide a flexible work schedule, typically allowing for two days in the office and three days working remotely.
