Job Title: Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Kayenta VA Outpatient Clinic in Kayenta, Arizona.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care services to our patients. As a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering basic care needs, routine screenings, and health education to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary care services to patients, including routine screenings and health education
  • Engage in a phased approach to healthcare services, starting with basic care and expanding to more comprehensive wellness services over time
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers for services not directly provided, such as specialty screenings and advanced diagnostics
  • Participate in mobile clinic operations to provide healthcare services at various locations
  • Utilize the VA's electronic medical records system to document patient care and ensure secure data transfer between different health systems
  • Conduct health education sessions focused on prevention and wellness
Requirements:
  • Must possess a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
  • Hold a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state where services are provided under this contract
  • Must have DEA prescribing authority applicable in the state of practice
  • Prior experience in primary care settings, preferably with underserved or rural populations
  • Skills in Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Proficient in using electronic health record systems, with specific training on the VA's EMR system
