Pediatric Specialty Care Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team at Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a vital role in ensuring the general health and well-being of our patients by providing direct nursing care.

Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in the planning and delivery of care to all assigned patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
  • Perform and promote timely and accurate documentation.
  • Assist in performing accurate thorough and timely completion of nursing admission evaluations and re-evaluations of patient care needs.
  • Provide evaluation of patient care planning information as necessary and as requested by nurses and other healthcare disciplines.
  • Complete individual education in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform all position duties according to safety rules and standards of practice required for this position.
  • Report to the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, RN Supervisor, and/or licensed professional any unusual symptoms, changes of condition, daily needs, and progress of patients.
  • Communicate with RN and the patient's healthcare team members to seek guidance when the patient's care needs exceed LPN scope of practice or if the patient's condition deteriorates or needs immediate assistance.
Requirements:
  • Credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse with a current state license in good standing for the state in which work is performed.
  • Valid, current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Training and work experience in a pediatric setting preferred.
  • Meets the qualifications of a Child Care Supervisor as described in 55 Pa. Code Chapter 3800.
