Job Title: Construction Safety Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Safety Technician to join our team at Chesapeake Containment Systems. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Project Managers and Field Superintendents with all safety-related tasks
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, company, and customer safety policies and procedures on projects
  • Conduct field safety audits and identify potential hazards and controls
  • Develop and deliver regulatory and company-required training
  • Investigate incidents and work with operations leadership to address safety concerns
  • Prepare and conduct weekly safety toolbox talks
Requirements:
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
  • Experience using and applying Safety Management Systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations
  • Experience developing regulatory compliance programs and training
  • Experience with injury case management and return to work procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety or a related field
  • Bi-lingual English-Spanish highly desired
  • CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) / STSC (Safety Trained Safety Certified)
  • OSHA 510 / OSHA 30 / CPR Training Certification

Compensation details: $70,000-$80,000 Yearly Salary
