Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laundry Services Coordinator to join our team at Confluence Health. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our laundry facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort, wash, and dry linen utilizing proper infection control techniques.
  • Monitor and maintain laundry equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Accurately record soiled linen weights and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in the training of new employees and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform daily and project cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
  • Must relate effectively with co-workers, physicians, staff, patients, and the general public and function as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to reason and think logically to solve problems.
  • Must be able to use judgment and make decisions.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High-school Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Working Conditions
  • Indoors and outdoors environment. Extreme heat and cold possible. Dampness/humidity possible. Working at heights sometimes required. Vibration, noise, radiation, poor lighting, mechanical hazards, hazardous chemicals, infectious diseases, skin irritants, and lung irritants are all likely exposures.
