Head Nurse Opportunity at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Nurse to join our team at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists. As a Head Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and leading our nursing team to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of nursing responsibilities during each shift, including assigning patient assignments, medication orders, and training new hires.
  • Ensure a safe environment for staff and patients, focusing on providing efficient, timely, and knowledgeable care while ensuring patient satisfaction in every interaction.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
Requirements:
  • Current NYS RN license required.
  • 2 years minimum experience as an RN in an Oncology setting.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred (current enrollment in BSN program required).
  • Full-time position.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • High level of familiarity with NYCBS policies and procedures.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
What We Offer:
  • Salary up to $115,000 annually.
