About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at JCSI, specializing in wastewater treatment facilities and water infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Prepare calculations for building dead, live, hydraulic, wind, and seismic loads, and develop construction specifications.
  • Structural Analysis: Use structural analysis programs to determine member stresses and sizes, validating results with manual calculations.
  • Design and Documentation: Design concrete walls, foundations, and slabs for buildings, tanks, and other structures, and create engineering drawings.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate structural system requirements with architects and various engineering disciplines, and provide technical support during construction.
  • Technical Guidance: Offer technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers, and ensure the quality of design documents.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus on structural engineering.
  • Experience: 7+ years of structural design experience, with 3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment facility design.
  • Skills: Proficiency with ACI 350 & ACI 350.3, experience in manufacturing projects, and knowledge of RISA, STAAD.Pro, or Tekla Tedds software.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Professional Engineer License required.
