Cardiology Specialist

About the Role

Mercy Medical Group, a leading multi-specialty healthcare organization in the Sacramento region, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Cardiology team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our experienced physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive outpatient clinical care to established patients, including monitoring and supervising stress tests and Holter monitors, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing patient education and follow-up. This is a full-time opportunity with no call requirement, no nights, and no weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including health history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests as needed
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
• Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary
• Provide patient education and counseling on disease management, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in California
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiology
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Compensation

$134,014 - $176,924 per year
