About the Role
Dignity Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate General Cardiologist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a General Cardiologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients with cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient setting. Your expertise will contribute to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including heart disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, and heart failure.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and collaborate with patients to establish achievable health goals.
- Prescribe and monitor medications, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac tests, such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, and stress tests.
- Provide counseling on lifestyle modifications, including exercise, diet, and stress management, to promote heart health and prevent disease progression.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine.
- Fellowship training in Cardiology from an accredited program.
- Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology.
- Valid medical license to practice as a Cardiologist.
