Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Check-in and Procedures

Our ideal candidate will assist with checking in patients, conducting examinations, and performing procedures as needed. This may include administering prescribed medications and treatments, clarifying medication orders, and refilling prescriptions as directed by providers.

Triage Patient Calls and Evaluate Health Status

The successful candidate will triage patient telephone calls, evaluating the physical and psychosocial health status of the patient. This will involve assessing patient needs, providing education, and coordinating patient services to include lab tests, point-of-care testing, x-rays, diagnostic procedures, consults, home care, and acute care admissions.

Coordinate Patient Services and Provide Education

Our ideal candidate will coordinate patient services, including lab tests, point-of-care testing, x-rays, diagnostic procedures, consults, home care, and acute care admissions. They will also provide patient education regarding medications, lab tests, x-rays, and procedures, and notify patients of test results and provider disposition.

Document Medical Information and Maintain Patient Rooms

The successful candidate will document medical information using electronic applications and/or forms, and maintain the cleanliness of equipment, examination, and treatment rooms. They will also ensure that exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and materials.

Participate in Patient Safety Rounds and Adhere to Policies

Our ideal candidate will participate in patient safety rounds, adhering to infection control, emergency, safety, fire, and disaster plans and policies. They will complete required initial training and updates per hospital policy.
