Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at A-Line Staffing Solutions.

About the Role:

This part-time position involves providing weekend coverage at our 20-bed Psych Inpatient Hospital in Shawnee, KS. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for providing direct medical care to clients, including episodic, preventive, and acute health care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct histories and physical examinations, and prescribe medications and/or medical treatments based on best practice standards.
  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with the medical treatment team, patients, and patient's families.
  • Provide referrals to appropriate medical resources or specialties, both internally and externally.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of medical care and monitor progress of patients.
  • Identify emergency situations and provide care within legal scope of practice and as defined by privileging process.
  • Participate in the development of health center goals and objectives.
  • Maintain medical records in accordance with Facility's policies.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school.
  • At least three years of psychiatric experience, with some experience in primary care also helpful.
  • Experience in a primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting is a plus.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state within which the site is located.
  • Must be Board Certified as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and have current state and federal DEA certification.
  • Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting is a plus.
