This position is a temporary role for a duration of 6 to 9 months.

Position Overview

The selected candidate will engage in a range of intricate imaging assessments. This role involves assisting physicians in executing invasive imaging techniques, which encompass angiograms, angioplasties, stenting, biopsies, embolizations, and both vascular and non-vascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate various imaging devices during standard and specialized procedure evaluations.
  • Prepare sterile setups for interventional tasks in accordance with established protocols.
  • Set up intravenous contrast injectors following technical and safety guidelines.
  • Prepare and position patients for designated examinations, ensuring protection and immobilization in line with established protocols.
  • Configure imaging apparatus to deliver prescribed procedures efficiently and promptly.
  • Manage imaging equipment controls to secure necessary exposures.
  • Monitor patients throughout examinations, reporting any abnormal findings to the physician, and assist in cardiopulmonary emergencies as needed.
  • Prepare images and films for clinical evaluation and assignment as required.
  • Execute related tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program is mandatory.
  • Valid New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is essential.
  • Advanced ARRT registration is preferred.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Radiology Technologist is necessary, with a preference for experience in special imaging procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to perform well under pressure are essential.

Salary Information

The salary range for this position is $48.20-$57.92/hour. This range represents a good faith estimate of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant and may be adjusted in the future based on various factors.
