Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment, machinery, piping, valves, and other associated systems within our distribution network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Install, repair, and troubleshoot meters, pneumatic and electric controls equipment, and distribution equipment, including piping, valves, traps, and expansion joints.
  • Inspections and Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on our distribution system and customer facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Perform basic structural welding and burning operations that consistently meet quality standards.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints (SR drawings) to ensure accurate installation and repair of equipment.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Take rotating on-call shifts on weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 coverage.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 6 years of experience in pipefitting, pipeline repair/maintenance, valve/expansion joint/trap repair/maintenance, and/or steam plant operations and maintenance.
  • Leadership and Technical Skills: Demonstrated leadership and full proficiency in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of Pressure Reducing Stations, building heating systems, domestic hot water systems, and associated controls.
  • Knowledge and Certifications: Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, including air handlers and steam coils, and a valid MA driver's license with a safe driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership and Estimating: Demonstrated leadership and full proficiency in estimating, planning, scheduling, and executing Charge Work and underground utility construction and repairs.
  • X-Ray Welding Qualification: Hold an x-ray welding qualification per ASME Section IX and B31.1 Power Piping codes.
