About the Role

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Child Life Specialist to provide direct assessment and clinical interventions to patients and families in our Inpatient Care department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide entry-level to emerging expertise in Child Life Competencies, ensuring alignment with Association of Child Life Professionals standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication skills, effectively navigating fast-paced environments while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for children of all ages, individualizing interventions to meet each patient's unique needs.
  • Support the development of a department culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, representing all ages and abilities.
  • Participate in departmental education and Nemours mandatory requirements, maintaining a routine of personal and professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Certified Child Life Specialist or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certification, with eligibility for certification.
  • Strong understanding of child life philosophy, with ability to align with departmental mission and vision.
