Job Summary

The Housekeeping Assistant Supervisor is a key member of the hotel's housekeeping team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect Guest Rooms: Ensure that guest rooms are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Supervise Staff: Oversee the work of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Coordinate Housekeeping Functions: Assist with the coordination of housekeeping functions, including laundry and linen management.
  • Assume Housekeeping Supervisor Functions: In the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor, assume all responsibilities and ensure that the department runs smoothly.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide training and development opportunities for housekeeping staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure that all housekeeping staff are aware of and adhere to the hotel's quality standards.
  • Communicate with Front Office and Engineering: Maintain effective communication with the front office and engineering departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks, including maintaining records and reports.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 1 to 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a high level of attention to detail.
