Main Responsibilities:

As an Adjunct Faculty Instructor for Technical Education, you will play a vital role in preparing and teaching classes as assigned. Your primary focus will be on providing professional instruction based on approved course syllabi, ensuring that desired course outcomes meet stated objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides professional instruction based on approved course syllabus and ensures that desired course outcomes meet stated objectives.
  • Prepares curriculum and syllabus for coursework taught.
  • Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives.
  • Administers and grades class examinations.
  • Maintains records of student grades.
  • Attends in-service training, workshops, and seminars as needed.
  • Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training areas.
  • Meets all required deadlines assigned by Supervisor.
  • Meets with students, staff members, and supervisors as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the minimum qualifications determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level and experience with online teaching platforms are highly desirable.

Required Competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies: skill in developing lesson outlines and materials, knowledge of vocational area of assignment, skill in presenting subject matter, skill in administering tests to evaluate progress, skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs, skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with adult learners, oral and written communication skills, and knowledge of student information systems.
